Channel Letter Signs

Channel letters are the workhorse of national brand identification — three-dimensional, individually formed letters mounted to a building face and illuminated from within. Walton fabricates and installs channel-letter sets at scale for multi-site rollouts where every storefront needs to look brand-true on opening day.

What it is

A channel letter is a fabricated metal letterform with a translucent acrylic face. Internal LED modules light the face evenly so the brand reads cleanly day and night.

Typical use cases

  • National retail storefronts and remodels
  • Automotive showrooms and tire/service brands
  • Bank branches and credit unions
  • Corporate campus identity walls

Materials & construction

  • Aluminum returns (typically 5")
  • Acrylic faces (white, color-matched, or translucent vinyl overlay)
  • Trim cap (matched to brand standards)
  • LED modules sized to the letter depth and stroke width
  • Power supplies sized per UL 48 listing

Installation

Walton's installation network handles flush-mount, raceway-mount, and backer-mount variants. Letters are installed to engineered drawings with proper anchoring for the wall substrate (EIFS, masonry, metal panel, or storefront framing).

Permitting

Channel letter sets are permitted in nearly every jurisdiction — Walton's program team handles code research, sign-area calculations, landlord approval packages, and the permit submission itself so the GC's schedule never waits on signage paperwork.
